How Do You Make Money with ClickBank?

To make money with ClickBank, follow the next six steps:-

#1. Use video tutorials and product demos

I’ll start with my all-time favorite content marketing strategy for promoting affiliate products or services, and that’s through educational tutorial/demo videos.

As you may know, I run a YouTube channel where I often talk about the various tools, products, apps, and services that I use in my business. I also produce quite a few tutorials and demo videos there too.

Using video can be extremely powerful. In fact, almost 80% of consumers are likely to purchase a product with confidence after watching a video.

You don’t have to be an expert videographer to create simple educational videos on YouYube. You can talk about why you love using a product, what problems you are overcoming using a product, and why you recommend it?

#2. Write product reviews

My second favorite content marketing strategy for promoting ClickBank products is, of course, blogging and writing reviews.

Blogging is still considered the best form of online content marketing, and rightly so. Over 50% of marketers have made blogging their number one priority!

Why do you think that is?

Because over 90% of consumers say that online reviews have impacted their buying decisions!

That says it all.

With a written review, you can really cover everything possible to learn about an affiliate product or service. You can really go to town with it and not miss a single thing.

Again, you don’t need to be a professional blogger or expert copywriter to create informative and educational product reviews that will convert into affiliate sales.

#3. Write list posts

I’m sure you’ve heard of a list post, right?

These can be potent tools, and people love reading list posts because they’re quick and easy to scan through.

You could write a top 10 list post for just about everything and anything these days. Maybe a list of best tools, apps, services, books, resources, and more.

There can be an affiliate link to a product on ClickBank that you like!

#4. Add links to your resources page

If your blog has a dedicated tools and resources page, as most blogs do, consider adding a few links to your favorite ClickBank products there too.

Write a short description of the product, outline why you use it, and don’t forget to link to it if you review the product.

Hotlink the product image or use CTA buttons so that people know where to go to learn more.

#5. Use smart banner placement.

Placing banners are no longer as effective as they used to be; however, that’s not to say they don’t work at all.

The best and smartest way to find out is to do some A/B split testing yourself.

Use a free tool like CrazyEgg to create some snapshots of your high-impact pages and blog posts to see if people really are clicking on your banners or scrolling right past them.

#6. Signup to ClickBank University

Last but not least, if you’re starting from complete rock-bottom with ClickBank and want to get the most from the network as an affiliate, you might find ClickBank University worth some time and a little bit of your hard-earned cash. Source

What is ClickBank? And How Does it Work?

Here is an explanation as to what ClickBank is and how ClickBank works:

Clickbank is an affiliate marketing network that links up product owners (also known as merchants, advertisers, vendors, product sellers) with affiliates (also called publishers). The company was founded in 1998 and is based in the United States. Since launching, Clickbank has grown to become one of the most popular websites of its kind.

Clickbank gives owners the chance to sell various digital products, such as computer software and ebooks. As well as providing a marketplace, Clickbank is also a payment processor.

Clickbank bridges the gap between product owners and affiliates; both need each other to make money. Product owners can use Clickbank as an effective way to advertise their products, and affiliates can pick them to promote and earn some of the best commissions available on the internet.

Benefits of the Clickbank marketplace

Next, you find the benefits of Clickbank for both product owners and affiliates.

Benefits For Product owners/merchants

When starting an online business, advertising your products on Clickbank is a good way to get off the ground. Trying to promote everything on your own is difficult and time-consuming, but if you have affiliates to help do this, you will quickly begin earning money and making your brand more recognized.

Clickbank is ideal because they have plenty of affiliates ready and waiting to promote.

Clickbank is an excellent way to get people to buy your product via affiliates. As a product owner, all you need to do is set up an account and determine your product price. Clickbank will then give you the code for a sales button that you can put on your site.

This is great if you are selling a subscription product, as it requires little effort for the buyer to purchase it. All transactions take place via Clickbank, so you don’t need to worry about processing them yourself.

Merchants can also make some more money from Clickbank’s referral program scheme. If you can convince another product owner to sign up with Clickbank, you will receive 22% of their initial sign-up fee and a small percentage of each product, which they then go on to sell using the service.

Benefits For Affiliates/publishers

Clickbank is also suitable for affiliates who want to earn some extra cash. It’s free to sign up, and you have plenty of products to work with.

Making money with Clickbank is possible, especially if you are already a skilled promoter. Clickbank merchants can set their commission rate between 1% and 75%, so as an affiliate, you know exactly what you stand to earn before you start, and you can avoid bad product sellers.

If you are hoping to make a substantial income with Clickbank, then finding your niche is important. You need to fully understand the products you want to promote so you can attract potential buyers.

Thanks to the Clickbank marketplace, which categorizes all of the Clickbank products on sale, it is not difficult to find the right products to promote. Information about each product is also available and statistics on how often they sell and how much each purchase will make you.

Receiving your first payments may take the most time, but it gets easier from then on. To confirm that you are genuine and are not buying the products you advertise yourself, Clickbank requires at least five purchases from five different credit cards before you receive payment.

However, once you have shown yourself to be an honest seller, getting payments from Clickbank is stress-free; checks are paid out every two weeks, providing you have reached your payment threshold (which you can set yourself). Source

How Can I Make Money with Clickbank Using Little Money?

Here is a guide as to how to make money with ClickBank using little money:

  1. Find a Product to Promote it.

Register an account with Click Bank (One of the largest affiliate programs where you can buy, sell, and promote digital products) and find a product that you can promote to earn your first $100. It is recommended to choose a product in the range of $20 to $50. This is an average product, and you need at least 8 sales to earn approximately $100. It depends on the product that you are going to promote. If the price of the product is greater, then you can earn more commission. The normal commission at Clickbank is 50% to 75%. However, it should be noted that the greater the price, the lesser the chances of making a commission. Users tend to buy products that have lower prices.

Ok, now you have a registered account, and you can start promoting ClickBank products to earn money. The username is your Clickbank ID, and you will need that ID to promote products. The next step is to visit Clickbank MarketPlace and search for a product that you want to promote. In the search box, type the name of any product, e.g., Windows 7.

A list of products will appear; you will see their price and commission. Choose the product and click on the green button which says, “Promote. “

A popup window will appear, where you will have to enter your Account Nick Name Or Username. Enter on the “Create” button, and on the next page, you will get your affiliate code. You need to promote that code to earn a commission. This code is only for the specific product, and whenever someone uses this code to buy the product, you get your commission.

  1. Promotion Platforms

The following are the possible promotion platforms through which you can promote the products using your affiliate code and earn a commission.

  • Blog
  • Websites
  • Forums
  • Social Media
  • Article Submission
  • Guest Blogging or Comment Posting

If you want to start a blog, then go for Blogger and create a free blog. However, you will have to optimize your blog for Search Engines to drive free targeted search engine traffic. Similarly, if you want to start a website, then it will cost you money because you will have to buy a domain and Webhosting.

I will try to tell you about the free possible promotion channels. You can earn from ClickBank quickly and follow the steps mentioned below to earn your first $100.

  1. Promotion Starts

Find some forums that are related to the products. Find your product related forums and place your affiliate link in your signature. Start participating in forums, and you will be able to drive tons of free traffic to your product page.

Make sure to write an effective anchor text for your affiliate link. Also, try to participate in relevant categories, I mean threads. The more you participate, the quicker you can make sales. And remember, your target is at least 8 sales. That could be very easy.

Register in the least 10 forums and try to post at least 100 comments in every forum. However, don’t spam in the forum; otherwise, your account can get a ban. If the forum is relevant to your product, you will surely earn a commission in your first few days. Test the product if it performs well, then post more comments, otherwise change the product and start promoting that one.

If you are on Facebook, then share the link with your friends, but in a sensible way. Do you know about RelationShip Marketing? Try to use it. First, build trust and then recommend the products to your friends, and you will surely get a positive result.

Article marketing and comment posting is also a very effective method to promote your product for free on the web. Write articles about the product and publish them in article submission websites, including your affiliate link in the signature. GoArticles.com, ArticleDashBoard.com, Articlesbase.com, iSnare.com, SelfGrowth.com, Buzzle.com, ArticleCity.com, and hubpages.com are great websites to write an article for the promotion of your product. On the other hand, posting comments on blogs, including your affiliate link in the URL field, can also give you free traffic. The more time you spend, the more sales you can make. Source

How Do I Get Paid through ClickBank?

You can receive payments through the following methods:

  • Check/cheque – We mail a paper check to the address listed in your account. This is the default payment option.
  • Direct Deposit – We transfer your payment directly to your bank account. You can configure this by supplying your bank account information. Direct deposit is available in the US and select countries.
  • Wire Transfer – We transfer your payment by wire. This option is available for countries not served by international direct deposit.
  • Payoneer – We pay you using Payoneer, an international money transfer service. You can configure Payoneer by supplying your Payoneer account information.

You can switch between the available payment methods at any time. However, it may take up to a week for the new payment method to take effect. Regardless of the payment method, payments are issued to the payee name you have listed in your account.

NOTE – When you change your email address or password, the option to change your payment method is disabled for seven days as a security measure. Source

Can ClickBank be Trusted?

Clickbank is not a scam in itself; it’s a legit business with a good reputation for paying their affiliates on time, paying out their commissions, producing refunds, and customer service.

But due to the lack of quality control, there can be plenty of products that are not very good and do not deliver on what they promise.

If you want to sign up for these guys as an affiliate – make sure you check out products thoroughly before you jump into promoting them.

Having some guidance and support when you start is so important, in my opinion.

When it can take months to start seeing results (when you’re relying on free traffic methods, especially), it can be hard going to stay motivated! Source

Does ClickBank Cost Money?

  • Activation Charge

For vendors who want to sell their products through ClickBank, we charge a one-time $49.95 activation charge that must be paid upon your first product’s approval. Activation fees do not apply to affiliates. Please note that this amount is only charged once your product is approved, so if ClickBank does not accept it for any reason, you will not pay anything.

There are no monthly charges, but there is a $2.50 pay period processing charge for every payment that ClickBank issues to you. You can adjust the account balance at which ClickBank pays you at any time by adjusting your Payment Threshold. This can be useful if your bank charges a payment-processing fee so that fees don’t take up too much of your profits.

  • ClickBank Fee

Each time you sell a product through ClickBank, without respect to the buyer’s location, we purchase the product from you at wholesale price, which for standard products is 92.5% of the approved retail price, less a $1. Therefore, on each sale, ClickBank effectively keeps 7.5% plus $1. However, for recurring product subscriptions where the to rebill price is less than $40, ClickBank purchases the rebills for the subscription from the Vendor at a wholesale price equal to 90.1% of retail.

If a vendor sells a Product in a currency other than U.S. dollars, an exchange rate is used to convert the purchase amount to U.S. dollars.

Here’s an example:

Your product sells for $100.

ClickBank purchases the product from you for $91.50. (92.5% of $100, minus a $1)

You have chosen to pay a 50% commission, so 50% of the remainder goes to the referring affiliate, which equals $45.75.

You earn $45.75 on the sale.

Please note that wholesale pricing for recurring products may be different. See the Selling Recurring Products article for more information.

Other Charges

There are also payout deductions for refunds and revoked sales and fees for dormant accounts. As part of our commitment to quality customer service, ClickBank may approve a return of a sale in response to a customer dispute. When a sale is returned, the customer receives a 100% refund, and payouts from that sale are debited back out of the corresponding vendor and affiliate accounts. Besides, we charge a fee of either $0.50 or $1 for most refunds, depending on the product price and the return date. See the Refunds & Chargebacks article for more information.

A purchase is revoked if the customer’s bank later claims the purchase was unfounded or fraudulent. This is also referred to as a chargeback. Revoked sales cost us money and harm our reputation as a reliable product retailer. In these instances, we penalize the vendor per credit card chargeback. Besides, ClickBank reserves the right to de-list any product or group of products at any time. See the Refunds & Chargebacks article for more information.

Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant. Source

How Long Does it Take to Get Paid from ClickBank?

Payments are always sent on Wednesday, two weeks after the period-end.

Accounts receiving the direct deposit (the US or International) are eligible for once per week or once per two-week payments. All other accounts receive payments once every two weeks (each a “Payment Frequency”).

Pay period end times and payment send dates are dependent upon your selected Payment Frequency. For accounts receiving payments weekly, pay periods end at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific time every Wednesday.

For accounts receiving payments once every two weeks, pay periods end at 12:00:00 a.m. Pacific time every other Wednesday. Changes to your selected Payment Frequency will go into effect following the Payment Change Deadline.

Changing your Payment Frequency from once per week to once every two weeks (or vice-versa) may result in overlap between pay periods and the amount settled. Due to the overlap, your new schedule’s first pay period could be longer or shorter than the standard. In the case of overlap, ClickBank always settles your open sales since your last pay period ended.

All changes to payment details, including address or payee changes, and changes between payment methods, must be made before the applicable deadline for each pay period. Specifically, changes must be complete before a settlement is run, which occurs at 5 p.m. (U.S. Mountain Time Zone) Tuesday, one week after a pay period ends. Source

How Much Can You Earn from ClickBank?

Here’s a simple overview of how ClickBank commissions work:

  • You find a product to promote and create a customized HopLink.
  • You promote the product online.
  • A customer clicks on your HopLink, goes to the vendor’s website, and ends up purchasing the product from ClickBank.
  • You receive credit for promoting the sale. Your commission is calculated based on the net sale price (see below) and credited to your account within two minutes of the sale.

How Commissions Are Calculated

Every ClickBank product has a commission rate set by the vendor, ranging from 1% to 75%. When you drive a sale to that product, ClickBank processes the sale, applies its charges, then calculates the commission rate based on the remaining net sale amount. Here’s an example of how much you’ll earn on a one-time purchase product with a 55% commission rate:

Retail Price: $29.95

Subtract 7.5% + $1: -$3.25

Net Sale Amount: $26.70

55% of Remainder: $14.69

Therefore, as the referring affiliate for this sale, you would earn $14.69.

Recurring products can have different commission rates for the initial purchase and the rebill purchases, but the calculation is performed in the same way.

The maximum commission you can earn on a single sale is $150.

Getting Paid

Obviously, the goal of being an affiliate is to get paid for your efforts. To receive your first commission payment, there are two requirements:

  • You must reach your payment threshold, which you set in your Settings.
  • You must meet the Customer Distribution Requirement.

All accounts default to a paper check payment method until you elect to change to direct deposit or wire.  If you’re located in an eligible country, you can start receiving payment via direct deposit. Once you become eligible for direct deposit, you can specify this as your payment method in Settings->Payment Information.

If you are not within a country supported by direct deposit, you may be eligible to receive wire payments or continue receiving payments with a check. Source

How Do You Make Money from ClickBank?

To make the task simpler for you, we decided to introduce a step by step process of making money with ClickBank.

This will work in a multi-pronged manner to enhance your earnings potential and enhance the relative ease of earning money from this medium.

After all, ClickBank is the biggest digital marketplace and has been around for close to 2 decades now.

Not only have they made it possible for millions to earn hundreds of dollars sitting at home.

But they have also made the entire concept of working from home and earning money online acceptable alternatives.

  1. Understanding the ClickBank Dynamics

If you want to master how ClickBank works, it becomes imperative to understand ClickBank’s overall concept.

You have to understand that only when you can sync your business strategy with their working strategy can you be assured of gains.

In fact, as per the most recent study, ClickBank now is a proud facilitator of over 30,000 sales on the digital platform on a day to day basis.

Their total number of registered users has topped 6 million and is growing every day.

What is particularly reassuring about the ClickBank business model is that the e-commerce giant has not approached these users.

They have all decided to join the ClickBank network on their own and have ever since started to create, sell, and promote products digitally actively.

The company’s commissions are a key consideration when you are looking to make money with ClickBank.

After all, it will ultimately decide on the extent of earnings that you can lock-in.

The good news is the range of commission offered in this platform varies from 5-75%, and anyone doing business with them stands a good chance of clocking in some neat gains.

  1. How Does ClickBank Work?

I am sure when you have initially begun your research about how to make money with ClickBank, you have read a lot of negative content as well.

Most of them will convince you that ClickBank is an absolute scam, and there is no way you can make a profitable deal here.

While I would say that making your first $100 on this platform is by far the most difficult proposition, you can easily make money with ClickBank once you understand how this entire system works and the key points that you must bear in mind.

So let us first understand in detail how to make this first $100 happen.

Register & Identify:

Your very first step would undoubtedly be to create a ClickBank account.

Once you have created an account, your next step would be to identify a product you would be interested in promoting.

To start with, it is a great idea to choose a reasonably priced product to promote, anywhere between $15-45.

Though the exact commission amount will differ from company to company, you would need roughly 8-10 sales on an average for the product to yield $100 as ClickBank returns.

Normally the rate of commission is higher in the case of a higher-priced product.

The average commission offered by ClickBank ranges closer to 50% than 5%, though you have options in all ranges.

Price-Commission Inversely Related:

Another fact that you must keep in mind while exploring how to make money with ClickBank is that the more the price tag a product carries, the lesser the commission you can earn.

Most online surveys indicate that users most times tend to choose less expensive products.

So never make the mistake of choosing all expensively priced products in the hope of earning higher returns from all.

Explore the ClickBank Marketplace:

The next step in the tour journey is to explore how ClickBank works involve visiting the marketplace and looking for possible products that you want to promote.

Once you reset the filters to reflect your search options clearly, you will see several products list available.

In general, they are the list of all the products that are available on ClickBank as per the prerequisites you have chosen.

Normally they will chart out their commission rates and prices simultaneously.

Choosing the Product:

Choosing the product on ClickBank is undoubtedly one of the easiest tasks.

You have to click on the green button next to the product name.

The moment you click on ‘promote,’ you will see a pop-up window with details of your account name and affiliate code.

This is essentially the link between you, ClickBank, and the product you would be promoting.

You will be promoting this specific code to earn the commission you are targeting in straightforward terms.

This is that important code that keeps the account book jingling in your specific name.

Every Time someone buys a product using this code, you are that much closer to your first $100.

Choosing a Platform:

The next step involves understanding how to make money with ClickBank using the affiliate code that you created in the previous step.

You must understand that you can promote these products on a wide range of platforms. These could include

  • Blogs
  • Travelogue
  • Web page
  • Social network sites
  • Articles/Columns
  • Guest articles

The whole idea is whether you are running your own website or blog, you will make it search engine optimized in your own interest.

The whole idea is to drive as much traffic as possible towards your site.

The ClickBank products that you are promoting become the collateral beneficiaries.

But the question is, how can you promote these fast to make that first $100 as soon as possible.

  1. Finding the Right Forum to Earn ClickBank Commission

This is perhaps the biggest roadblock in developing your overall understanding of how to make money with ClickBank.

It is about finding the right forums for promotion and ensuring that you can drive the maximum possible traffic to promote your selected products.

  1. One of the easiest options is to start incorporating the affiliate link you have got as part of your online signature.

This way, the maximum number of people gets access to the link.

Let us assume that at least 50% of them open the link and another 40% of those actually buy the product.

Now, doesn’t your first $100 appear distinctly closer than you imagined?

  1. When you explore the different ways you can make money with ClickBank, it is essential to make sure that the text that accompanies your affiliate code is very hard-hitting and effective.

Also, to convert into faster sales, you can post these in the relevant section on social networking sites and other avenues.

This will increase and enhance the exposure that these codes get.

Once you ensure 8-10 sales, your $100 is made, and the road for man hundreds also gets paved.

  1. Another simple solution would be registering in as many forums as you can to increase the exposure.

It is natural that when 50 people see the link instead of the initial 20, at least a few more would be clicking on these.

But wherever you might be posting, you must be very careful about not overdoing it.

This is because if you start spamming, you will run the risk of getting your account banned.

  1. It is always a good idea to test the product that you are promoting on ClickBank initially.

This is important as it would reveal which product is working and what is not.

If a certain product seems particularly non-responsive, you can always go ahead and change it.

  1. The lessons about making money with ClickBank also involve a few lessons on how to market your product on social media networks effectively.

For example, you understand that you can share your affiliate code links on Facebook and Twitter, but the point is how you can do it in a way that does not become offensive.

This is exactly where relationship marketing comes to play and can, in fact, play an effective role.

You can also try to market these affiliate codes in the articles that you might be writing or in comments that also comprise your response to some web posting.

These very effective methods of promoting affiliate codes and earning money on ClickBank are also highly unobtrusive techniques to gain exposure.

In case you feel that these techniques will help you earn just $100 from ClickBank, you are mistaken.

In many ways, these pave the way for sustained long-term gains.

Your lessons about how ClickBank work often begin from this juncture can help you latch on to a sustainable strategy to lock-in profit.

Just like you manage to earn the first $100, the next several hundred can also be navigated in the same manner.

The approach on ClickBank pretty much remains the same.

  1. Converting Clicks into Buys

Our lesson on ways to make money with ClickBank is progressing on a step by step process.

So far, we have learned how to create affiliate codes and drive traffic towards them.

But the problem is that it is not the end of challenges for you.

So what if you ensured that 50 instead of 10 people opened your ClickBank affiliate code?

It still does not translate into buys.

Therefore what can you do to make sure that these clicks actually get converted into buys and thereby translate into sizable earnings for you?

Not only for enhancing sales on ClickBank, but this is a crucial lesson for all possible affiliate marketing initiatives.

You must know how to create value before you begin sharing.

Don’t pitch sales right away.

It is important to create a sense of value in the links that your viewers are clicking on.

So it is a lesson in not just how to make money with ClickBank but also how to stand out amidst a group of affiliate marketers vying for maximum sales.

It becomes essential to provide your viewers with good quality content.

This will serve a dual purpose; it will increase sales and, at the same time, also increase your credibility.

You will be able to generate an online fan following and a significantly large trust base.

Once you are successful in establishing this bond, asking for the sale is almost a child’s play.

Many times, your followers would not have to be also nudged.

They will do so on their own.

Now the question shifts from how to make money with ClickBank to forge relationships to help you make money with ClickBank?

One of the easiest options would be email marketing and responding to your blogs’ comments and viewpoints.

When you take time to connect with every follower on an individual basis, it is needless to mention that they appreciate it a lot.

They are almost eager to return the favor to you, and your ClickBank sales almost happen automatically without any further nudging.

When you are looking to convert clicks to buys, only the first 50-60 seems particularly challenging.

The onward journey becomes relatively easier as your understanding of how ClickBank works also increases.

You can anticipate your viewers much better increasingly, and relative sales also increase simultaneously. Source

How is ClickBank Gravity Calculated?

According to the information on the ClickBank website, gravity is calculated as follows:

Gravity: Number of distinct affiliates who earned a commission by promoting the vendor’s products during the past 12 weeks. This is not an actual number of affiliates. For each affiliate, an amount between 0.1 and 1.0 is added to the result, depending on when his/her last transaction occurred. More recent transactions are given a higher value.

This definition tells us that a vendor’s gravity represents several affiliates who have sold the vendor’s products in the last 12 weeks. But!!! It doesn’t show us how ClickBank calculates gravity.

Here is an interesting point.

It is possible that a vendor’s gravity was “500” two weeks ago. And today, this vendor’s gravity is only “275”. According to the above definition, about 275 affiliates have sold this vendor’s product(s) in the last 12 weeks.

You might think that it is a great product to promote… But don’t hurry!

There was a very rapid drop in gravity (from “500” to “275”). As likely as not, only a few affiliates have earned the commission in the last two weeks, promoting this vendor’s products! As well, many customers have asked for a refund.

So, it is highly desirable to know how ClickBank calculates gravity — to feel a vendor’s sales volume and the level of competition among his/her affiliates.

But don’t be upset if you can’t understand the computation behind the formula of gravity. By following the tips below, you will be able to choose good ClickBank products to promote wisely.

How does ClickBank calculate gravity?

It seems to us, Antone Roundy’s assumptions about the ClickBank gravity calculation are correct. He guesses that:

ClickBank recalculates Gravity every day

Any vendor’s gravity is a sum of scores of distinct affiliates who have sold this vendor’s products in the last 12 weeks

An affiliate’s score can be:

“1”: if he/she sold at least one copy of the vendor’s product yesterday

“0,96”: if this affiliate’s last sale was the day before yesterday

3 days ago: 0,96^2 = 0,9216

4 days ago: 0,96^3 = 0,884736

n days ago: 0,96^(n-1)

Here is an example.

Two affiliates have been promoting a product of some vendor.

The first affiliate sold 3 copies of the product yesterday and 7 copies of the product the day before yesterday. He adds “1” to the vendor’s gravity.

The second affiliate sold only one copy of the product the day before yesterday. He adds “0,96”.

So, the new value of the vendor’s gravity is 1 + 0,96 = 1,96. Source

Is ClickBank University Worth the Money?

Clickbank University is a training center and community for creating your own info products to sell online. You can also learn how to market other people’s products via affiliate marketing.

Quick Review

The quality of training is excellent, and the community is somewhat active. The price is quite high but not unreasonable for what you get. I think this could be a good product for someone looking to market information via their own info product listed on Clickbank, but not for someone looking to make money in affiliate marketing.

Is it worth the money?

In my opinion, spending the monthly fee will get you selling better and quicker than learning independently. Those of you who are experienced may not need it.

Clickbank University is a good product worth the monthly membership cost of $47/month if you want to create your own info product and sell it online. However, if you are interested in learning how to sell other people’s stuff online as an affiliate, you have better options out there. Source

Do You Have to Pay for ClickBank?

Here is an explanation of what you have to pay for with ClickBank:

Activation Charge

ClickBank Fee

Also, we charge a fee of either $0.50 or $1 for most refunds, depending on the product price and the return date.

Also, ClickBank reserves the right to de-list any product or group of products at any time. See the Refunds & Chargebacks article for more information.

Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant. Source

Is a ClickBank Account Free?

Yes, a ClickBank account is free.

But if you plan to operate as a vendor, you must pay a one-time activation charge once your first product has been approved. This charge is $49.95 for your first account and $29.95 for any additional accounts. Source

How Often Does ClickBank Payout?

ClickBank offers Direct Deposit, Wire, and Checks as payment methods for clients to receive their funds. Accounts receiving the direct deposit and wire payments (the US or International) are eligible for once per week or two-week payments. Check payments are available once every two weeks. Source

Can ClickBank pay via PayPal?

ClickBank does more than track your product sales and assigns commissions when you sell others’ products — it’s also a payment service that accepts credit cards and even handles recurring payments for your company. ClickBank can pay either with a check mailed directly to you or via a direct deposit into your company’s bank account. While you can’t have a ClickBank deposit directly into your PayPal account, you can use PayPal and your bank account to access your company’s ClickBank payments through PayPal.

Step 1

Log in to your company’s PayPal account, click “Profile” to open the Profile page, and then click “Add or Update Bank Account.”

Step 2

Click “Add Bank” and enter the requested information, including the account and routing numbers from one of your business checks.

Step 3

Confirm your bank account by clicking the “Confirm” link beside your connected bank account. PayPal makes two small deposits of less than $1 into your bank account. After you confirm the deposit amounts, log in to your PayPal account, go to the “Confirm” link again, and enter the deposit amounts.

Step 4

Log in to your ClickBank account and then click “Account Settings.”

Step 5

Click the “Edit” link beside “Payment Information,” choose “Direct Deposit” and enter your bank information, and then click “Save Changes.”

Tip

ClickBank requires you to receive two paper paychecks before you can choose “Direct Deposit.” If you change your ClickBank account’s email address or password, you won’t be able to change your payment method for seven days.

To transfer money from your company’s bank account into your PayPal account, click “Add Money,” followed by “Bank Transfer” to make a one-time transfer or “Balance Manager” to set up regular transfers. When your PayPal balance falls below the amount of a purchase, PayPal will use your bank account to make the purchase. A transfer takes three to five days to complete.

When you link your company’s bank account to your PayPal account, PayPal removes its spending limit. Source

How Do I Become a Clickbank Affiliate?

If you’re a Clickbank affiliate wannabe, being a part of this network isn’t hard. To begin your affiliate marketing at Clickbank, you can follow these four steps.

  1. Set up your Clickbank affiliate account

Signing up as an affiliate is easy. From the home page, click the Sign-Up tab, which directs you to the page where you input the standard information (name, email, mailing address, and so on). Account registration is free. You can then choose a nickname, which acts as your account user ID.

If you generate earnings of $600 or more, you’ll be asked for either your Social Security number if you’re doing business as an individual or your business tax ID number (if payment is being made to your business). After you register, the site will email your user ID (the nickname) and your assigned eight-digit password.

As you generate commissions, the site mails you your first two checks. You can then opt to have payments submitted electronically to your bank account. Part of why initial checks are mailed to you via regular postal service is security: The site can verify that your address is real.

You can set up more than one Clickbank account if you decide to promote multiple products and you want to track your effectiveness and profitability.

  1. Find a product to market as an affiliate.

From the homepage, click on the Marketplace tab. Do a keyword search for products that are in your chosen niche. Make sure the product is in your specialty and a good fit for your target market.

Although you don’t need to buy the product to start promoting it, it may be a good idea to get comfortable with both the product and the vendor.

Here are some questions to ask yourself when you’re considering a product to promote:

  • What is the product’s gravity? Gravity gives you an indication of the product’s sales and popularity. It can also tell you to what extent the competition is with others who may also be promoting the product.

A gravity of 100 or more means that there are many competitors, and it may be too crowded for you to get your share of the sales. A gravity under 40 may indicate that the product is too new (untested?) or not as popular.

  • Is the product getting good reviews on the Internet? Put the product’s name in your search engine and review the results. Gauge whether customers and affiliates are generally happy with the product. Identify any complaints.
  • What do Clickbank’s statistics say about this product? When you look at the product, Clickbank offers key information about it and the results being generated. You can find out metrics, such as average commission amounts per sale, to see how profitable it may be to you and see how well the product ranks in terms of total sales, in its category, and so on.

Clickbank offers videos that give you a tour of how a product is tracked and how sales and commission results are measured. You can also read product reviews and opinions in Clickbank’s blogs and forums from affiliates’ experience with various products and vendors.

  • What sales assistance does the vendor provide? Some of the most successful vendors provide extensive guidance to help affiliates succeed. If you see a product, go to the vendor’s website and see their affiliate’s page (you can typically find a link at the bottom or top of the homepage).

Learn to what extent the vendor provides advice and sales tools, such as sample landing pages and sales copy that you can freely copy and include in emails and other venues (such as websites and blogs). The more tools and guidance an affiliate provides, the better for you.

  1. Get your affiliate hoplink

After you decide on a product, click the Promote button. In the next window, you enter your nickname and a tracking ID. This field is optional, but it’s good to use.

A tracking ID keeps you updated on how well a particular marketing campaign is doing. For example, if you promote the same Clickbank product in your blog and a separate email campaign, you can create a tracking ID for the blog (such as “my blog”) and another for the email campaign (such as “email”). That way, you can track each approach and see which one had better sales results.

When you finish putting in your nickname and the optional tracking code, Clickbank will instantly generate a hoplink, a unique link that you can use in your marketing efforts. When anyone clicks on this hoplink, Clickbank tracks it and provides you with full credit for any sale that occurs.

You can place the hoplink as easily as you can to place any other link. You can put hoplinks on a website, email, blog, Facebook page, or article.

  1. Get paid for any affiliate sales.

Clickbank tracks the sales and any commissions generated by your promotional efforts. You can log in and check your account and the results you produced. If you have any commissions, Clickbank typically issues payment every two weeks for affiliates.

At this point, you can decide on what else do you want to do. You can continue promoting the product you chose, or you can find other products and vendors. Many affiliates like to promote multiple products in the same niche to enhance sales opportunities. Source

This number represents the average total dollar value of a sale, including only rebill payments, to the affiliate who drives the sale. Can You Make Money with Clickbank?

How Does ClickBank Pay Work?

  1. Check

Payment by check is the default payment method for ClickBank accounts. The check is made out to the payee name listed in your account and mailed to the address listed in your account.

  1. Direct Deposit

You can receive payments by direct deposit.

Payments sent via direct deposit returned to us due to invalid banking information are re-sent to you via paper check. Additionally, your account payment method will be switched to a paper check until you provide accurate banking information. You may contact ClickBank Accounting to inquire about the details of your returned direct deposits. Please send your request through our Account Questions form with the period ending date, the amount, and nickname.

Your account nickname is added to your payee name for direct deposit payments.

  1. US Direct Deposit

ClickBank offers a direct deposit of your ClickBank account payment to U.S. bank accounts at no extra charge. Direct deposits may take 1-2 business days to reach your account, although many direct deposits are received on the same day that we send them.

  1. International Direct Deposit

ClickBank offers International Direct Deposit (XACH) for direct deposit of your ClickBank account payments into certain international bank accounts, at no extra charge. XACH offers a fast and reliable method for direct deposit of your account payments in your local currency.

See the Accounting Policy page for a list of the countries currently supported for International Direct Deposit.

NOTE – If your country is not on the list, you may be eligible to receive payments by wire transfer for select accounts. Please contact ClickBank Accounting to inquire as to the availability of wire payments.

Once sent, XACH payments generally take only a few days to reach your account, depending on what country your account is in and what currency you receive payment in. Specifically, payments typically take:

  • 1-2 days for Canada
  • 2-3 days for Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, and the countries within the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA)
  • 3-4 days for Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United Kingdom
  • 4-5 days for India

Enabling Direct Deposit

  1. Log in to your ClickBank account.
  2. Click the Account Settings tab.
  3. Locate the Payment Information section and click Edit.
  4. Select the Direct Deposit payment method radio button.
  5. Accept the Terms & Conditions.

  • Bank City
  • Bank Name
  • Account Number
  • Routing Code
  • Account Type
  1. Check the box, acknowledging that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions.
  2. Click Save Changes.

The system displays a notification in your account and sends an email to your Account Email Address with instructions for completing the process.

Follow the link in the email to confirm the change.

Once you follow the link, the system displays a confirmation of the change and sends an email confirming the change. Your future payments will use this direct deposit information.

  1. Wire Transfer

For those clients that reside in a country in which we do not currently offer International Direct Deposit (XACH), ClickBank does offer direct wire payment to your bank account for ClickBank accounts with sufficient volume. The additional cost for a wire payment is $35 per wire sent, and an unlimited number of ClickBank accounts can be included in a single wire. Wire payments are available in USD only. To inquire about the availability of wire payment for your specific ClickBank account(s), please use our Account Questions form and select “Payment Inquiries” as the subject line.

  1. Payoneer

To get started, sign up for a Payoneer account. Once approved, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with your US Payment Service details, your US collection account.

How Can I Earn Money from ClickBank?

  1. Selling Your Own Products on ClickBank

If you have an e-book or online course that you’d like to promote, ClickBank makes that easy. Once you sign up as a vendor, you can list your product with them and set the commission percentage you are willing to pay to anyone who chooses to market and promote your product for you. Once your product is listed, other ClickBank users will start promoting it on their own websites. This will drive traffic to the sales page on your website and hopefully result in sales.

What to do with the Traffic ClickBank Affiliates Send Your Way

If you’re selling a product on ClickBank, you need to make sure that your landing page (the page all your affiliates are sending traffic to) is user friendly, sales-oriented, and has a clear call to action. Otherwise, visitors will click through and then bounce away, leaving you with lots of traffic but very little in revenue.

It is also better to view ClickBank as a tool for generating leads instead of hoping to sell 100,000 copies of your e-book immediately. Use ClickBank to drive visitors to your website, then get them on a newsletter list and market to them repeatedly. You may want to offer a contest or freebie along with the newsletter to encourage people to sign up with you.

  1. Selling Other People’s Products With ClickBank

Once you sign up to become an affiliate with ClickBank, you will immediately browse the different products available to sell. ClickBank has tens of thousands of products available, so in the beginning, it’s helpful to search by niche and commission percentage until you locate offers that you want to promote. Make sure you take the time to look at the vendor’s sales page before promoting their product. They might be offering a 75% commission rate, but if their website doesn’t look trustworthy or put together, you aren’t going to generate many sales, no matter how much traffic you drive their way.

Key Marketing Strategies

Ideally, you will already have a website that contains articles and other affiliate offers similar to the ClickBank products you want to promote. If you haven’t set one up yet, though, don’t worry. WordPress is a great free content management system that you can use to start a website and begin publishing articles immediately. Use your articles to draw readers in, then present your ClickBank affiliate offer within the article. You may also want to develop a newsletter for your own website and use it to promote your ClickBank offers to your audience as often as possible.

Getting Traffic to Your Website

The more traffic you have, the more money you can make with ClickBank. To maximize your traffic, you should spend some time identifying commonly searched keywords that relate to the product you plan to sell. If you create articles and other content based on those keywords, you can often get some traffic from search engines, especially if you target the less competitive long-tail keywords in your niche.

Long-tail keywords are search phrases rather than one or two words. If you are planning to promote an online poker course, for example, you might do some keyword research and decide that the term “online poker course” has too much competition from existing websites, but articles based on things like “When to push during a sit-n-go” don’t have as much competition and may yield more traffic. 1. Open a ClickBank Account

Start by signing up for a ClickBank account. Enter your personal information.

You will then be asked to enter your banking information as well as your account information.

The marketplace listings are sorted in popularity order, but you can use the search box to find your preferred product.

Against each entry is a Promote button that provides you with the affiliate link. You will also be provided with info on the commission you will receive if you sell the item.

Tip: Aim for products with reasonable commission. No lower than let’s say 40 percent, to make your efforts worthwhile. Also, you should note that ClickBank deducts transaction fees from a sale. More so, it would help if you remembered to disclose all your affiliate links and mark them as no-follow. Source

Clickbank – Our Story

ClickBank sells lifestyle products that are created by passionate entrepreneurs. Our products give inspiration and instruction on topics ranging from training the family dog and Paleo cooking recipes to workouts to become a better surfer. With each click and every sale, our products improve the lives of customers around the world.

FROM GARAGE TO GLOBAL RETAILER

Our journey started when our founder observed that the Internet’s rapid growth was creating an explosion of websites and digital content. He recognized that the Internet’s growth would create an explosion of websites and digital content that would make it increasingly difficult for consumers to find the products they needed. Inspired to help consumers locate products, our founders started ClickBank in 1998 in a garage in San Diego, California.

Our founders would sit in a circle on the floor to manually stuff envelopes with sales payout checks during those days.  They so rarely received a phone call that they would decide who was next to answer the phone by pointing to each other and calling out, “You’re it!”. Since those early startup days, ClickBank has grown to be a top 100 internet retailer and leader in digital e-commerce, driving over $3 Billion in sales, improving the lives of over 200 million customers, and working with more than 6 million entrepreneurs in 190 countries around the world. Our multi-lingual customer service team now receives over 2,000 calls each day – no “you’re it!” required. The company has offices in Boise, Idaho, and Broomfield, Colorado.

DELIVERING WORLD-CLASS PRODUCTS

Ranging from guitar lessons and juicing recipes to slim-down secrets and coaching for bodybuilding, ClickBank works with product creators to translate passions into products that inspire and motivate customers. ClickBank reviews each product based on strict guidelines and works with product creators to ensure products are appropriate for ClickBank to sell. We stand behind our products and strive to deliver unparalleled customer satisfaction. Source
